Stress management helps to
relieve negative thoughts and feelings and procrastination that
become a part of your life when you are under stress. The most
difficult challenge is taking action and moving forward. To
take action means to make a change in your life and develop a
stress management program. If you do not take the first step,
the healing process cannot begin.
Think through the problems and situations you
are trying to avoid. Make a list. Your stress management
program begins when you determine which problem or situation you can take action on
first. Make a list of your options. Select the option you
feel you can achieve. A small step is better than no step
at all. Once you determine which situations you can
control, you can move forward with the changes you need to
make in your life.
Life is not perfect. There will always be
pressure situations. The amount of stress you carry depends on
how you face up to situations. If you always pretend that
everything is okay, problems and situations will mount and
overwhelm you. Try to get pleasure from the things around you.
Work on your hobbies. Start an exercise fitness program as part
of managing your stress.
If you let stress continue to have a grip on
your life, it will take control. Try to develop a stress
management program. There are a number of sites on the
Internet, books, and audio tapes to help you get
started.
